Actuator 2026 in Wiesbaden
New developments in microactuator technology presented at Actuator 2026
The Laboratory of Microactuators was represented at this year’s international Actuator Conference 2026 in Wiesbaden with several contributions. Yasmina Frey presented a talk titled “Antagonistic Bistable Actuator Based on Shape Memory Alloy Beams,” introducing a novel actuator approach for switching between open and closed states.
In addition, Pascal Weber and Hidelberto Macedo-Zamudio presented their latest research results in poster contributions. Pascal Weber presented his work entitled “Superposition-Based Force Modelling of a Multi-Stable Magnetic Lift Actuator”, focusing on the modelling and optimisation of magnetic actuator systems for precise position control. Hidelberto Macedo-Zamudio presented his research entitled “Magnetoelectric Fluxguide with Reduced Bending Mitigates Power Null in WPT Systems”, addressing challenges in wireless power transfer systems and contributing to improved reliability of wireless charging technologies.
The contributions from the Chair highlighted its broad expertise in innovative microactuator concepts and provided valuable opportunities for scientific exchange with researchers from around the world.
