Hitesh Gowda receives ‘BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARD’ at SPIE Photonics West 2022

Hitesh Gowda, a doctoral student researcher at the Laboratory for Microactuators, was awarded with the ‘BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARD’ at the OPTO conference, part of SPIE Photonics West 2022.

The awarded paper on 'A 3D scanner: Low Footprint Piezoelectric Tunable Optical Scanner' reports on an optical system co-integrating scanning and focusing in one device. The paper was co-authored by Tobias Gräf and Prof. Ulrike Wallrabe. Photonics West is the world's largest international photonics conference held in San Francisco each February.
