VDI Sponsorship Award 2013

Mrs. Natalie Muller (Department of Microsystems Engineering) and Mr. Milad Miladi (Department of Computer Science) were awarded the VDI Sponsorship Award 2013 by the President of the University of Freiburg Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Hans-Jochen Schiewer during the opening ceremony of the academic year 2013/14.

Natalie Muller and Milad Miladi

Mrs. Muller received the award for her master thesis “Design and Implementation of a Twin-Track Active Charge Balancer for CMOS Integrated Neural Stimulators” which she performed at the Fritz Huettinger Chair of Microelectronics, Department of Microsystems Engineering.

Mr. Miladi received the award for his master thesis “Sparsified Prediction and Alignment of RNAs based on their Structure Ensembles” which he performed at the Chair for Bioinformatics, Department of Computer Science.

The VDI Sponsorship Award is endowed by the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI) – chapter “Schwarzwald e.V.” and comes with a prize money of 1000€.

The Faculty of Engineering cordially congratulates its awardees.
