Award for outstanding research in bioinformatics

Prof. Dr. Rolf Backofen and Dr. Björn Grüning from the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Freiburg, has been recognized by Clarivate as a Highly Cited Researcher 2025. Dr. Grüning is included in this ranking for the third time.

This award honors researchers worldwide whose publications rank among the top 1% most cited in their field, reflecting a particularly significant impact on international research.
