Neurotechnology in dialogue: Prof. Thomas Stieglitz at ARS Electronica
At the event “Re-Engineering Human Nature” Prof. Thomas Stieglitz was part of the panel discussion “Myths and Visions of Neurotechnologies” at the ARS Electronica Center, Linz, Austria. Together with experts from science, medicine, art, and society, the opportunities and challenges of modern neurotechnologies were discussed.
From insightful keynotes to lively panel debates and powerful film screenings, the event provoked cross-disciplinary dialogue between researchers, clinicians, artists, and an engaged public. Clinical, commercial, and creative perspectives were explored, highlighting both the transformative potential and the complex ethical, societal, and philosophical implications of neurotechnology.
Gratitude to all speakers, participants, and curious minds who joined the conversation and made this such an inspiring experience. A special thanks goes to the hosts of the event Wenzel Mehnert, AIT and Claudia Reinprecht, BMEIA.
