Current cover of Trends in Biotechnology

In this article, Can Dincer and colleagues underline how personalized treatment by therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) has been challenging the ubiquitous “one-size-fits-all” approach. They provide a critical overview of current TDM practices, followed by a TDM guideline to establish a common ground across disciplines and discuss what hampers the transition of new sensing technologies to routine practice and how an ideal TDM guideline can help translate these sensor systems.
