Wireless Power Transfer Conference 2020 honoured her work on wireless power transfer by magneto-inductive waves

After being awarded the Dr. Wilhelmy-VDE prize already in spring 2020, Fralett Suárez Sandoval, former PhD student and postdoc at the Laboratory for Microactuators, has now won the Best Paper Award at the Wireless Power Transfer Conference 2020 of the IEEE MTT-S. Both prizes were awarded in recognition of her outstanding work on wireless power transfer by magneto-inductive waves. Ms. Suárez Sandoval has designed a charging station where, for example, a mobile phone can be charged in any position and orientation. The station detects where the mobile phone is located and the energy is concentrated in this area.
