Awarded Editor´s Choice
In a recently published research article, the groups led by Prof. Dr. MD. Volker Coenen and Prof. Dr. Thomas Stieglitz collaborated on establishing a sensing methodology that enables long-term monitoring of stimulation-induced dopaminergic projections in a rat model. This work, for the first time, presents a roadmap for utilizing the fiber photometry technique in combination with the dopamine indicator (GRABDA2m), offering stable in vivo readouts over at least 14 days. The publication has been awarded as the top second in the released editor’s choice by the journal of brain-sciences. This collaborative research has been shaped under the cluster effort of BrainLinks-BrainTools and has focused on interfacing medical/biological demands with advanced engineering solutions.
